Some type of random skin rash?

I noticed that it just makes my skin look somewhat swollen in the area of the rash. It doesn't change my skin color, but I do start to see small ripples showing a rough look compared to the rest of my skin. The first place I noticed this rash was around my upper leg. It went away about 2-3 weeks later, but then appeared on the same leg, but lower. I started to scratch area, then this rash started to spread all around my back of my calf (same leg). Now this rash has traveled to my right elbow. I'm not really allergic to anything, and I don't have major medical problems. I'm considering a visit to the doctor soon, but I wanted to know what you all thought. Keep in mind that this rash has been here and gone and back for about 5-6 months now.
