How do you fix this Ipod problem?

My ipod just mysteriously broke 30 seconds ago. I was JUST listening to it and I got off the car only to find that it broke. Every time I choose a playlist, for example, the songs come up (without showing the album art) and rotate throughout all of them rapidly, then it flashes back to the menu screen. If I only click on one song, it just shows the song without album art, doesn't play, and flashes back to the menu screen. Help please!
