Where were McCain and Palin when social graces were being handed out?

They are truly "low rent". I also couldn't help noticing that Cindy McCain gives every indication she would be the worst first lady ever. She didn't even shake hands with any of the audience members after the debate. She likely has serious self-esteem issues. Between McCain, his lovely wife , and Palin (and her Alaskan secessionist, snowmobiling hubby) we are ured of maintaining our current dubious distinction of being one of the least respected countries in the world if the Republicans win in November. Do we need this? Isn't it time, after 8 years of a semi-literate cowboy in the White House, that we have people with a little bit of cl representing our country? Or will the stereotype of the "Ugly American" live on for another 4 to 8 excruciating years?
